Dr. Himanshu

Dr. Himanshu is an Indian legal academic and researcher whose work reflects a sustained commitment to constitutional values, human dignity, and the evolving frontiers of law in a technology-driven society. He earned his Ph.D. (2025) from the School of Law, Justice & Governance, Gautam Buddha University, on a socio-legal examination of the human rights of incarcerated women and their children, with focused reference to prisons in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh (Meerut Zone) theme that also resonates through several of his writings and scholarly engagements. Strengthening this research foundation, he qualified the UGC-NET for Assistant Professor in Law (result declared 5 November 2022), completed an LL.M. in Constitutional Law from Amity University, Noida, and pursued specialized credentials in International Trade and Business Law, Cyber Law, and Intellectual Property Rights from reputed institutions including ISIL and the Indian Law Institute.

With a strong blend of classroom experience and academic service, Dr. Himanshu has contributed as a visiting faculty at Gautam Buddha University (January 2022–December 2024) and has served as Assistant Professor at HRIT Group of Institutions and IPEM Law Academy, along with earlier experience as a teaching assistant. His professional journey is complemented by early practical exposure through a legal internship at Tis Hazari Court and public-interest work with NCPRI, reflecting both doctrinal training and grounded institutional familiarity. As a prolific author, he has published peer-reviewed journal articles on subjects ranging from dying declarations and competition law in the age of artificial intelligence to gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and the legal rights of undertrial women and children. His scholarship also extends to multiple book chapters on AI regulation, legal personhood, due process, public administration, poverty alleviation, and constitutional governance, including contributions to international conference proceedings and an upcoming edited volume with Routledge (Taylor & Francis Group). Further establishing his academic imprint, he has authored books in 2025 on incarcerated women and children, patent law in India, and comparative juvenile delinquency studies, alongside a 2023 work on freedom of religion under the Indian Constitution some of which are also formally registered under India’s copyright framework.

Dr. Himanshu’s intellectual presence is equally visible in scholarly forums, where he has presented papers at national and international conferences on electronic evidence, forensic science, privacy and biometrics, environmental justice, and algorithmic accountability, demonstrating an ability to bridge doctrinal precision with contemporary legal challenges. His contributions to academic life include roles as a judge in moot court competitions, participation in faculty development programmes and UGC initiatives, and consistent engagement with research methodology and emerging legal debates.
