Dr. Gaurav Gupta is an Assistant Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law, Integral University, Lucknow, with over 12 years of enriching experience in teaching and legal research. He holds a Ph.D. in Sedition Law from Bundelkhand University and an LL.M. from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University. A UGC-NET and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) awardee, Dr. Gupta has a strong academic foundation supported by his scholarly contributions and professional achievements.
He has published three academic books with reputed publishers and has successfully edited three more volumes, with an additional three books currently in the process of publication. His academic contributions further include 12 research papers published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, including those indexed in SCOPUS and ABDC, along with 14 book chapters in edited volumes brought out by leading
publishers such as Springer and Taylor & Francis. Beyond his writings, Dr. Gupta has bagged two design patents, reflecting his interdisciplinary engagement with law, innovation, and technology.
Dr. Gupta has presented more than 20 research papers at various national and international conferences and has attended numerous training programs and workshops conducted by reputed institutions such as the Indian Law Institute (ILI), University Grants Commission (UGC), National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), and the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). In recognition of his academic and environmental contributions, he was honored with the Prithvi Mitra Samman by the Earth Matters Foundation.
He has successfully convened numerous academic initiatives such as Value-Added Courses, Faculty Development Programs, and National Seminars. Dr. Gupta also serves as a member of the reviewer panel for three national and international journals and is actively associated with various academic and professional bodies, including the AILTC, YHAI, and the Indian Red Cross Society.
His areas of academic interest encompass Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, Law and Technology, Forensic Law, Human Rights, and Legal Research Methodology. As a budding scholar who deeply believes in continuous learning, Dr. Gupta remains committed to academic excellence and strives to bridge the gap between theory, practice, and public engagement through his research, teaching, and innovative pursuits.
